A Documentarian at Heart
I'm Tommy Rhyan, a travel photographer and videographer originally from the Chicago suburbs, now calling Denver home. My childhood was filled with sports and family boating trips, however it wasn't until I ventured into abandoned houses with a friend that I discovered my creative passion. Borrowing his camera sparked something in me, leading me on an incredible journey. While chasing my dream in LA's film industry, the pandemic rerouted me back home. Despite the shift, I persisted, nurturing my photography and videography business. From assisting a YouTuber in Georgia to my current focus on intimate weddings and elopements here in Colorado, it's been a winding road to where I am now.
While my journey didn’t initially lead me to filming weddings and elopements, it has taken me across diverse locations worldwide, engaging in an array of projects. Each of these experiences have shaped my path, from serving as a behind-the-scenes photographer for a travel TV show to capturing moments as a cameraman for a YouTuber and contributing on commercial sets in LA. These opportunities have fueled a lifelong aspiration of mine—to be featured by National Geographic. Presently, I find myself immersed in documenting breathtaking weddings and elopements in the stunning landscapes of Colorado.
