A Grand Canyon Elopement

It was truly an amazing day spent in Grand Canyon National Park with these two. Working along side my photographer, Olivia, we were able to capture their special day in this jaw dropping location. They booked a full day elopement package allowing us to shoot a morning hike and their ceremony in the evening capturing both photo and video!

The Morning Hike

We started our day waking up early for a sunrise hike where we captured some of my most favorite moments of all time. These two truly embraced this natural wonder as they hiked and danced along the canyon. Most of our morning was captured at Grand View Trail Head where the landscapes truly looked like a painting.

Elopement Film

Piecing together this film was easily one of my favorites as of yet. Being able to go back and tell their story the way I witnessed it was dream like. There were a number of countless shots to choose from with a location that offers such a unique landscape.

Getting Ready

The couple decided to stay in the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in one of the hotels that they have. This is where we were able to photograph and film some getting ready images, including some lay flat shots with a map of the National Park.

The Ceremony

There once in a lifetime ceremony took place at Moran Point where the clouds were rolling in and wind was consistent, adding to the ambiance of the moment.

My colleague and I had a field day capturing the ceremony. We were running around making sure we could capture every bit of this incredible landscape we saw in front of us. From the vows to the I do’s, this was a ceremony I knew I would never forget. With many locations around this peninsula they were standing on, we knew that they would fall in love with what we were capturing. As the ceremony ended they were able to take in the moment even more, thereafter we headed up to sign the marriage documents and had a quant picnic.
